STICKLEYVILLE, VA - Tony Lee Woliver, 58 of Stickleyville, VA passed away on February 12, 2019 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap. Tony was a lifelong resident of Lee County, VA. He worked for over 26 years at Elk Knob Inc., where he was co-founder and owner, along with his brothers, Johnny and Kenny Woliver. After his retirement he was an owner and operator of Woliver Brother's Properties. Tony enjoyed fishing on the East Coast and in Louisiana with his family for many years. He also loved hunting and being out in nature.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gene Woliver and brother, Kenneth Gene Woliver.
Tony was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pennington Gap, VA.
He is survived by his mother, Lucille Woliver of Pennington Gap, his brother, Johnny Woliver and wife Judy, nieces, Kelly Cassell and husband Alan of Ceres, VA, Lisa Cheek and husband Marc of Jonesville, VA. One great nephew, Jack Cassell, and sister-in-law Brenda Woliver, and many other extended family members and friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Sturgill Funeral Home in Pennington Gap. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm with Pastor Josh Osteen officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday in Lee Memorial Gardens in Hickory Flats. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Lawson, Alan Cassell, Marc Cheek, Barry Calton, Hubert Kimberlin and Darrell Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Wampler and employees of Elk Knob, Inc.
